My Philosophy

One of my biggest strengths is that I am very attuned to the details that go into making projects successful. This attention to detail is something that has served me well in my corporate career. Whether it was the accuracy of the data set behind sophisticated reports, or contract terms in large master supply agreements, or new systems being fully tested before introduction, I could only feel comfortable with my own work when I knew for sure that every detail behind the fancy façade was proper.

This same skill translates to my flooring work. Questions that I thoroughly ask when engaging with a flooring project help to set a good foundation and execution for a job. What is the cause of the flooring issues? What prompted the need for a new floor? Was the old simply too old? Or it needs replacement because of a bad subfloor? Is there moisture damage, and if so, where is the moisture coming from? Has the root of the problem been fully eliminated? Are the right conditions in place for the new floor to be a lasting, high quality installation? If not, what needs to be done to make sure that you will enjoy the new floor for many years? What kinds of special materials might be needed to ensure lasting results?

I take all of these questions, and more, into consideration on each project knowing that they lead to not only beautiful, but lasting results. I believe the foundation of any structure is the most pivotal, and that it needs strength along with aesthetics. Floors are that on which we live our daily lives and ought to be not just beautiful but enduring, and it is my aim to make this mission a reality.

Beyond attention to detail, I value customer relationships and like working in cooperation with customers. I believe that positive customer relationships are essential as a contractor. Clients not only want their floors repaired, changed, or installed, but they want the process to be cooperative and as smooth as possible. I work hard to maintain good working relationships throughout the project from start to finish.
